Dorothy Booth, a Turlock resident since 1963, passed away peacefully at Emanuel Medical Center on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010.
She was born in Nebraska to the late Thomas and May Sturtevent. She was an elementary school teacher for the Chase County School District in Nebraska for three years. She lived in the Los Angeles area in 1939, then moved to Oakdale in 1953 before she settled to Turlock in 1963. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Turlock.

Harold Wesley Duncanson

Harold Duncanson, 91, of Modesto passed away at Doctor's Hospital on Oct. 10. He was born in Sparta, Wis. to Walter and Josephine Duncanson in 1919. He lived in the Modesto area for 57 years. Harold was a teacher in the Modesto Schools for over 30 years. For 25 years, he was the shop teacher at La Loma Junior High School. He was a member of the Modesto Church of the Brethren. Bakhsish Kandola, 93, died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced.
He was born in India on April 2, 1917 to the late Bathan Singh and Name Kaur. He settled in Atwater 22 years ago and started his career in farming. He belonged to the Livingston Sikh Temple.
He leaves his eight children behind, Baksho Kaur, Gain Kaur, Kewal Singh, Bikram Singh, Gurpal Singh, Palo Kaur, Amarjit Singh and Harsinder Kaur; 28 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Antonio Coelho Aguiar, 92, of Modesto died peacefully on Monday at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Aguiar was a native of Los Banos. He lived in Turlock for over 40 years. He retired from Banquet Foods. He was a WW II veteran.

Patricia Baptista, 68, of Turlock passed away at Brandel Manor on Monday, Oct. 11. She was born in Riverside, Calif. to Jack and Grace Murray. She was raised in Southern California and lived in the Turlock area for 48 years. Patricia worked for Safeway throughout the Central Valley for 35 years, ending her career as an assistant manager. Alta Rogers, 86, of Turlock, passed away at Paramount Court on Monday. She was born in Kansas City, Mo. to Charles and Alta Galyen. Her family lived in Illinois and moved to California when she was a young girl. Alta graduated from Los Angeles High School.

William Lee Hopkins

William Hopkins, 66, of Denair, passed away at Memorial Medical Center on Friday. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind. to John and Willie Hopkins. He grew up and went to school in Indianapolis. It was in Indiana where he met Shirley Brown and they were married in 1964. Together they raised two children. William and Shirley moved to California in 1980, and settled in Denair. He worked as a mechanic for Garton Ford Tractor for 30 years. William was a generous, fun-loving man who enjoyed meeting and talking with people. He also enjoyed the casinos. Sharon was born in Turlock to Jess and Frances Lopes in 1960. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Sharon enjoyed camping on the beach, spending time at the ocean and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.

Roy Plant, 80, passed away Oct. 5 at his residence in Waterford, Calif.

He was born February 1930 in Broken Arrow, Okla., where he lived until he was 13 years old. He played football at Hayward High School in California.
