Edward Meyer, 71, of Denair, lost his battle with cancer at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born to Edward H. and Elizabeth Meyer in Oakland. After his high school graduation, Edward attended trade school and got his start as an auto mechanic. For many years he ran his own business specializing in the repair of imported cars. In 1958 he married Irene Francis. They were married for 47 years before her death in 2005.

Jeannie Baccelli, 34, of Turlock, passed away unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Modesto to Raymond Baccelli and Pamela Moyer. She started her schooling in San Diego and the family moved to Hilmar when she was in the second grade. Jeannie graduated with the Class of 1995 from Hilmar High School.
She was a homemaker and was known for making great salads. Even though Jeannie experienced much pain in her life, she did enjoy exercising. She also loved to shop. In recent years Jeannie enjoyed worshipping at New Life Christian Center with her friends.

Emma (Erma) Warda Morris, who passed away at the age of 83, was laid to rest on Jan. 20. A Memorial Mass in her honor will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, March 4 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. The family moved to Alameda, Calif. when Michael was young and he attended school and graduated from Encinal High School in Alameda. He worked for 30 years in road construction as a partner with his father. Together they worked on many roads in the Santa Clara County area. James Stanley Roach, also known to his friends and family as Jim Roach, passed away July 5, 2015, after his battle with cancer. Jim was a loving devoted father to Dallas Roach and a wonderful, loving grandfather to his two grandsons Dallas Roach II and Austin Roach. He had a very generous, sharing personality.
