Stanislaus State athletes help make child’s wish a reality

Since 2016, Christopher Courtney's life has been a series of ups and downs due to his battle with a neurodegenerative disorder. Sunday, however, was a day filled with surprises for 12-year-old Christopher, who not only threw out the first pitch at the Stanislaus State baseball game, but also received news that he and his family would be going on the trip of a lifetime to Hawaii this summer thanks to the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Turlock Certified Farmers Market gets early start on season

Those looking forward to the fresh fruits and vegetables, locally made meats, cheeses and bakery treats found at the Turlock Certified Farmers Market won't have to wait as long this year for the market season to start. The TCFM will open on April 22 this year, two weeks earlier than previous seasons, and close in mid-October.
