No comment from public on bus fare increases
A proposed Stanislaus Regional Transit fare increase would raise the cost of most rides by $0.25, to $1.50 for a general fare bus ride. Senior or disabled fixed route bus riders would be exempted from the increase, with a ride remaining flat at $1.
Central Valley Project farmers to receive 55 percent of water allocation
The Federal Bureau of Reclamation announced this week that Central Valley Project water users will receive 100 percent of their annual allocation – except for south of the Delta, where agricultural contractors will receive just 55 percent of their annual allocation, and municipal and industrial users will receive 80 percent of the allocation.

Legacy Circle campaign raises $871,000 for Emanuel’s Cardiac Services
More than $871,000 was raised to support comprehensive cardiac care at Emanuel Medical Center during the hospital's six-week annual giving campaign, known as Legacy Circle. For the past 13 years the Turlock Family Network has been a resource for young mothers and fathers - many of whom have come from abusive backgrounds or are recovering from drug and alcohol addictions. A solo vehicle crash in north Modesto resulted in the death of a 45-year-old Keyes man and sent his passenger to the hospital with major injuries. The City of Turlock's $15 million investment in its industrial park paid off on Tuesday, city officials said, as Blue Diamond Growers announced plans to expand to the newly-renamed Turlock Regional Industrial Park.
