Lack of funding closes parenting resource

For the past 15 years, the Turlock Family Network has been a resource for families dealing with drug or alcohol addictions, behavioral problems or teen pregnancy, providing parenting training and in-home support. Despite a rising demand for services, however, the organization will close its doors at the end of the month due to lack of funding.

Students of Jill Kline's kindergarten class at Julien Elementary are celebrating their 100th day of Kindergarten today through a variety of events, including hosting 100-year-old visitor Gladys Linér. She visited Kline's class on Thursday morning where students peppered her with questions such as how she celebrated her sixth birthday, what her birthday cake looked like and if she ever saw Santa Claus.
