The Kettle Kickoff is centered on the Kettle Klash -seven minutes of organized chaos as volunteer teams race around the room with Salvation Army kettles aiming to collect as many cash donations as possible to kick off the Salvation Army's holiday fundraising campaign.

The Gemperle giving spirit

Here in Turlock, the Gemperle name is synonymous with eggs. Ernie Gemperle immigrated to the United States from Switzerland in 1949, and with a determination to succeed and unerring work ethic, he turned a small egg ranch in Turlock into an enterprise that is recognized as one of the most successful egg companies in the western United States. Gemperle Farms was one of the first to market organic and specialty eggs and remains a hormone and antibiotic free farm.
