For the past six years, Ron and Karen Macedo have opened the R.A.M Farms pumpkin patch to the public during the harvest season. Three years ago, the Macedo family decided to take their pumpkin patch one step further by opening a 20-acre corn maze for the community.

Late August is the beginning of harvest for many of the nut growers that have trees that produce almonds and walnuts, with several weeks typically spent getting the crop in.
