New online tool helps with weight management

The U.S. Department of Agriculture and National Institutes of Health partnered to add the NIH Body Weight Planner to USDA's SuperTracker online tool as a goal-setting resource to help people achieve and stay at a healthy weight. Created in 2011, the SuperTracker tool empowers people to build a healthier diet, manage weight, and reduce risk of chronic disease. Fate of former homeless center building still unknown

Since the Turlock Gospel Mission moved its Homeless Assistance Ministry out of the City of Turlock owned property at 1030 East Ave. last fall, the building has seen little activity. In the past, the building formerly known as the Youth Center was the site of a variety of recreation activities before been leased to the gospel mission.
