Turlock City Council member Steven Nascimento has long been active in voter outreach efforts to the Portuguese-American community and now the Turlocker is expanding his support of this community by serving as executive director of the newly formed California Portuguese-American Coalition.
U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) was presented with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's "Spirit of Enterprise" Award recognizing his work supporting American workers and businesses through policies that encourage private sector investment and growth. Rep. Denham has received this award each year since 2011.
