The Summer/Labor Day National Anti-DUI crackdown has resulted in a significant number of DUI arrests from local routine traffic enforcement and special Avoid the 12 DUI deployments in Stanislaus County, according to the Turlock Police Department, the agency overseeing the Avoid the 12 grant.
It was just before midnight when the Jerners awoke to a loud and persistent knocking on the front door of their Garden Lane home. Outside the door was a Turlock Police officer and he sounded pretty concerned and insistent on talking to the couple right away.
