The homecoming festivities planned for Delhi High School on Friday never got off the ground because a shooting in a nearby orchard prompted a campus-wide lockdown. Postal worker pleads guilty to mail fraud, workers’ compensation fraud
Karina S. Beard, 44, of Turlock, pleaded guilty to four counts of mail fraud and two counts of federal Workers' Compensation fraud. United States Attorney Benjamin B. Wagner announced that James Alva Kirkpatrick, 59, of Turlock, pleaded guilty today to theft of Social Security disability insurance benefits. The suspect wanted for a fatal stabbing in Waterford surrendered to authorities Thursday. Second victim identified in Hughson homicide; questions remain
The second man found inside a burned vehicle in Hughson has been identified, but little information about the double homicide has been released.
