The Delhi man who was behind the wheel in a fatal collision that killed a Delhi teenager is headed to prison, while his female accomplice who tried to hide him from law enforcement, was sentenced to jail.
A coordinated effort by the Turlock Police Department and the Recording Industry Association and the Movie Picture of America Association to target those peddling in pirated movies and music resulted in numerous arrests and the confiscation of hundreds of bootlegged material.
Turlock Police are investigating an arson fire that scorched some of the wooden play structure at Donnelly Park. The fire was reported at 10 p.m. Tuesday night and quickly doused out by Turlock fire fighters. A propellant was used at the base of the structure to start the fire, Turlock Police spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis said.
A preliminary hearing began Tuesday in Stanislaus County Superior Court for two people facing animal cruelty charges that stem from the discovery of an estimated 50,000 hens left for dead at a ranch outside Turlock.
