California State University, Stanislaus honored the 2013-14 recipients of the Mary Stuart Rogers Scholarship on Friday, formally recognizing a group of 13 students who have demonstrated strong academic performance along with a commitment to personal growth and a desire to serve others.

Over the past 20 years, the highly-successful bilingual immersion program at Osborn Elementary has helped thousands of young students become fluent in both Spanish and English – a skill that is becoming increasingly valuable in California.
Distinguishing students and staff members from visitors on school campuses is a whole lot easier this year, as the Turlock Unified School District implemented one of its new safety protocols - required identification badges.
University students leaders from all over California were on the campus of California State University, Stanislaus on Saturday morning, as part of the annual California State Student Association summit meeting. The purpose of the summit was to allow student leaders from the 23 CSU campuses to come together and discuss issues that directly affect all 437,000 students of the CSU system.
