Turlock stadium out of commission as football season begins

The Pitman High football team has a lot more to worry about than just putting in a good performance for their season opening game on Friday, as the team now has to find a place to play it. Pitman High School Athletic Director David Walls, along with the Turlock High Athletic Director and Turlock Youth Football president, were notified on Tuesday afternoon that Joe Debely Stadium is unavailable for use until further notice due to the weakened condition of the turf.

Little Lights Preschool readies for fall opening

Louise Marchant Gymnasium unveiled

Family, friends and many others who were touched by the legacy of Louise Marchant gathered outside the newly-renovated girls' gym at Turlock High School Saturday morning, eager to see the unveiling of its new name: the Louise Marchant Gymnasium. A special dedication ceremony was held, formally naming the campus' renovated building after a former Bulldog who truly bled blue and gold.
