Taking center stage

Recent Pitman High graduate Ethan Alvares played in the 37th Lions All-Star Football Classic at the University of Pacific's Stagg Memorial Stadium in Stockton on Saturday night in front of hundreds of supporters. Alvares, the South's starting center, was the only local player to participate in the prestigious event, as his team suffered a close 15-14 loss to the North team in the final minutes.
