Hilmar handles Chowchilla

It was a long, rough night for Chowchilla High on Friday when it traveled to Hilmar High to face off against the Yellowjackets. After driving roughly 40 miles to McSweeney Field, the Redskins were hard fought to cover any more ground against the 'Jackets' defense as they netted -2 yards of total offense and managed to convert one first down all game.

Delhi defeats Big Valley Christian in convincing fashion

Delhi High wanted the 2013 season to be different; it wanted to taste sustained success on the gridiron and compete for the Southern League title. Last week the Hawks took their first step towards that goal with a shutout victory against Galt High, and then followed it up with a second, more convincing, step on Friday with a 48-18 victory over Big Valley Christian High.

Ripon edges Denair on the mat

Denair High nearly upset Ripon High on the wrestling mat Wednesday night, out-pinning the Indians four to six, but 18 points from a trio of forfeits was too much for the Coyotes to overcome. With holes at the 106-pound, 160-pound and Heavyweight weight classes, Denair dropped its first dual meet of the season, 30-41.
