The Turlock Christian boys basketball team (1-1) just couldn't get a win streak going this season. The Eagles notched a one-point victory in their Central California Athletic Alliance opener on Tuesday when they played Millennium, but Thursday's contest against Sierra Ridge was a different story.

Denair High boys basketball (4-8) went into Friday's matchup against Hughson (6-2) High in the Coyotes' Holiday Classic with the goal of redeeming their loss to the Huskies earlier in the week. However, the game didn't go quite the way the Coyotes were hoping, as Denair failed to produce enough offense behind Isaac Starks' 23 points, 6 steals and 6 rebounds and they lost it at the end, 63-54.
