Turlock Christian High's varsity baseball team looks to be on the verge of a turnaround after bringing in an abundance of fresh talent to this year's squad to compliment one of the most talented teams that TC has seen in over half a decade.
The Southern Athletic League competitors Denair and Delhi are hoping to swing into a successful co-ed tennis season. Although each side saw a multitude of success last season, both head coaches are hopeful that they can finish in the top two for the new season, especially since last year's power in Ripon Christian lost many of its top players.
Wednesday marked the beginning of spring sports for a large portion of the Pitman girls basketball team after losing to the sixth-seeded Bella Vista in the first round of the Division II Sac-Joaquin Section tournament, 57-32.
Due to a lack of varsity play from many of the up and coming players, Turlock baseball head coach Mark de la Motte is now boasting probably his most inexperienced team to-date, but it might not all be bad, considering they compete in an always interesting Central California Conference and return a few of the area's top hitters.
