After falling to Central California Conference foe Merced High on Wednesday, 3-2, the Turlock Bulldogs bounced right back on Friday as the picked up the win with the help of starting pitcher, sophomore Jon Temple.

Though the Lady Eagles showed signs of improvement against Waterford High a week ago-losing by only three runs as opposed to double digits-they were ultimately unable to overcome the Grizzlies as they lost 13-1 in five innings.
The participants of the second annual County Clash Meet, between Stanislaus and Merced counties on March 29, were decided on Friday at the Stanislaus County Meet, which saw 60 local athletes make the top-eight cut of their respective events.

Just two days after dropping a one-run loss to Mariposa High in the seventh inning, the Hawks beat back the Coyotes 7-2 to set up must-win matchup against Waterford High on Wednesday.
Turlock and Pitman baseball squads began Central California Conference play this week, with each facing their respective opponents as they began the quest to finish atop and perhaps capture a league title.
It was a rematch of rivals on Saturday during the championship game of the 30th annual Atch Pedretti Tournament. Around this time last year, Turlock and Pitman High clashed over the Pedretti championship for the first time in the tournament's history, with the Bulldogs emerging victorious by landslide victory.
Turlock and Pitman High will meet on the baseball field in a game to watch, before league play even starts after both squads notched back-to-back wins in this year's Pedretti Tournament earning a spot in the championship round.
Turlock and Pitman High kicked off track season on Friday by going the distance, joining 16 other high schools at Joe Debely Stadium for the Pitman Distance Wars. But while only a handful of each team's track competitors actually saw action on Friday, their respective rosters-sprinters, jumpers, and throwers-were in attendance to cheer their teammates on.
