The 2016 fourth Annual High School Senior Water Polo All Star Games hosted by the Turlock Bulldogs Aquatic Boosters was underway this past Saturday and it could not have been possible without the events main coordinator in Joe Bernardi.
Both boys and also girls' soccer were added to winter sports for the upcoming season and for a small school like Hilmar, who had one coach doing double duty during their former respective seasons, a new coach was needed to take over one of the teams.
The addition of soccer in the winter season meant some schools needed to adjust and certain student-athletes perhaps choose one sport over the other. Turlock and Pitman High varsity girls soccer adjusted a little better than the smaller schools as they head into the 2016-17 season anxious for the new year.
The Turlock High Bulldogs were unable to claim their 10th straight victory to advance to the semifinals of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I Football Playoffs Friday night, losing to the Elk Grove Thundering Herd 42-19.
