A total of seven wrestlers from Pitman and Turlock High will be advancing to the California Interscholastic Federation State Tournament after a strong turnout in this past weekend's Masters Meet from Stockton Arena.

Ward takes fifth at State

Turlock High sophomore Hailey Ward (101) bested last year's finish at the California Interscholastic Federation Wrestling Championships after she concluded the two-day tournament this past weekend with a fifth-place result, medaling in the process from the Visalia Convention Center.

Hilmar girls soccer advances to Section final

For the first time since 2008, the Hilmar High varsity girls soccer team is back in the Division-V Sac-Joaquin Section Championship game after they defeated No. 5 Venture Academy in a dramatic penalty shootout that ended in a 6-5 victory.

For the second consecutive season, the Hilmar High varsity girls soccer team will advance to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-V semifinal after they defeated Marysville High on Wednesday from home, 2-0.

Pride girls soccer advances to second round after OT win

The No. 7 Pitman High Pride varsity girls soccer team will be moving on to the second round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-II tournament after they toppled the No. 10 St. Mary's Rams, 2-1, in overtime on Wednesday from home.

First round loss for Pitman boys soccer

It was one and done for No. 7 Pitman varsity boys soccer team after they hosted No. 10 Tracy at home in the opening round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division-II playoffs and lost 1-0 in double overtime after a tightly contested game that ended in a scoreless stalemate after regulation.
