After a successful softball career at Hilmar High, Stesha Brazil traveled to the University of Houston to strike out on her own and continue her playing days. A year passed at Houston and Brazil quickly found herself missing the familiar, more specifically her family, and so she decided to return to the Valley, mitt in hand. Now, Brazil is a Fresno State Bulldog helping her new team chase the top spot in the WAC - all while her family watches.
Maecie Ireland has been playing soccer since the fifth grade. Her playing days started with the Turlock Tornadoes where she played for four years and developed an appreciation for the sport. When junior high was over Ireland joined the Turlock Bulldogs as well as the Modesto Ajax, committing herself to a rigorous schedule for the love of the game. Now, with her high school days nearing their end, Ireland has decided to extend her dedication to the sport, signing with California State Stanislaus.
At 6 feet, 6 inches Mason Russell looks like he was born to play football, and it seems famed coach Larry Coker agrees. The 290-pound Turlock High alumnus recently agreed to take his talents to the new football program at the University of Texas at San Antonio, fulfilling one of his many goals.
