Turlock grad leads Sonoma State golf to nationals

For the first time in school history, the Sonoma State women's golf team has qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships following a third-place finish in the Super Region 4 Golf Championship at Amarillo, Texas.

Wheeland wraps up freshman season at Oklahoma State

Turlock High graduate Vince Wheeland had a learning experience as a freshman pitcher on the Oklahoma State baseball team. Since he was a newcomer, he didn't get much action, but he was part of a team that went to the NCAA Division I Nashville Regional, where the Cowboys lost 9-2 to Troy and 3-2 to Belmont to end the season on Saturday.
