Behind walk-on Taylor, Warriors golf heads to nationals

The field is set for the 2010 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship which begins Tuesday at the Sagamore Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind. After a sixth-place finish in the finals last year, the Cal State Stanislaus men's team returns to the division's biggest stage, looking to bring a championship back to Turlock behind Pac-10 transfer Brandon Taylor.

Stanislaus pole vaulter earns back-to-back league titles

Kasey Burlingham repeated as the California Collegiate Athletic Association champion in pole vault as he led the Cal State Stanislaus men's track and field team to a solid fourth-place finish at the CCAA Championships on the campus of UC San Diego on Saturday.

The Cal State Stanislaus men's golf team rallied behind leader Brandon Taylor on Wednesday during the final round of the NCAA Regionals as the Warriors jumped up from fifth to finish third, qualifying for the national tournament.

For the first time in school history, the Sonoma State women's golf team has qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championships following a third-place finish in the Super Region 4 Golf Championship at Amarillo, Texas.

Krisdina Gehring, a Turlock High graduate, became the first Fresno State lacrosse student-athlete to earn all-conference honors as she was named to the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation second-team in a vote that was conducted by the conference coaches.
