Hilmar’s Devon Mederios signs D1 letter of intent

Hilmar High's Devon Mederios is the latest local athlete to secure an athletic future at the collegiate level after signing his letter of intent with Sacramento State University's football team. Mederios, who was a key component of the Yellowjackets' 13-1 season in 2013, will join the Hornets' roster as a walk-on at the kicker position.

Stanislaus Basketball ready for NCAA showdown

Turlock and San Jose Earthquakes partner up

Turlock already has a professional indoor soccer team in the Turlock Express, two collegiate teams that represent California State University, Stanislaus, a pair of high school programs with several championships to their names, and established youth and travel leagues that develop talent on a regular basis. It's safe to say the game of soccer is well represented in the area.

Turlock sweeps CCC competition

Turlock High swept both the Central California Conference Singles tournament and Doubles tournament for the second year in a row on Thursday. Competing on the home courts of Atwater High, Mila Johns claimed the singles title while the newly formed team of Lauren Carlson and Courtnie Chan took the doubles title.
