All-Stars ready to compete

Close to 100 water polo athletes gathered in the waters of the Steve Feaver Aquatics Center last year for the first annual North vs. South High School Senior All-Star Game. Pride beat Rams in five

Pitman High was pushed to its limits Thursday night in the second round of the CIF Division I Sac-Joaquin Section playoffs against St. Mary's High. After uncharacteristically dropping the first set to the Rams, the Pride bounced back and battled to five sets for only the second time all season.

TC girls back in section title game

For the second year in a row the Turlock Christian High girls' varsity basketball squad has punched their ticket to the Division VI Sac-Joaquin Section Championship game after beating Sacramento Waldorf, 48-34, in the semifinal game at home on Thursday night.

Bulldogs eliminated

The boys' basketball season is officially over for Turlock High after Wednesday's 89-54 playoff loss to Sheldon High in the first round of the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I Boys Basketball Championships. The reigning Central California Conference champions met their match in the Huskies (19-6 overall) who showed the Bulldogs (16-11 overall) how they became Delta League champs and why they were seeded second in the tournament.

College Bound

For the second time in as many weeks, Pitman High watched two of its student-athletes sign letters of intent and secure a future in athletics at the college level. Maddy Bowen and Alexis Mettler signed their respective letters for Chico State and the University of Deleware Tuesday afternoon in what has become a Pride tradition in the Pitman library.
