Bulldogs batter Falcons on the mat in league opener

Turlock High signaled the beginning of Central California Conference competition with a lopsided 68-12 defeat of Atwater High in the opening league dual of the season Wednesday night. The Bulldogs rode seven pins, a pair of forfeits, a pair of tech falls, and one major decision to victory as they downed the Falcons and positioned themselves alongside rival Pitman High atop the CCC standings.

Staying ready and waiting for a shot

Halie Bergman was a proverbial beast in high school. As Turlock Christian High's leader on the court, she helped guide the Eagles to a pair of Southern League championship and a pair of Division V State Tournament appearances, while averaging 24 points in her freshman and junior seasons before upping her average to 27 points her senior season. By graduation, Bergman has tallied a total of 1,761 points to set TC's school record.
