Quilter finds her artistic thread
Mary Ann Bloom spends hundreds of hours on each work of art that she creates, only to have them tossed on a sofa or folded at the foot of a bed. That is the goal of a quilter, to have his or her work enjoyed by friends and family. Bloom's work will be enjoyed by other quilters and the Turlock community at the Turlock Quilt Guild's 2010 show, "From Heart to Hand."

Harpist brings electrifying show to Turlock stage

Turlock plays host to music video film crews
For a few hours on Monday afternoon Turlock's Crane Park was transformed into an on-location shoot, complete with professional sound, lighting and film crews. Just as suddenly as the Hollywood-style hoopla appeared, the day's filming was finished and every last piece of equipment was packed away and Crane Park was once again a place for local residents to walk the dog and play a game of tennis.

The Carnegie Arts Center is seeking volunteers to work in a variety of roles. As a private, not-for-profit organization, the Carnegie Arts Center Foundation relies on volunteers for help in every aspect of operating the new regional arts center which opens to the public in September.
