Sierra Repertory Theatre opens its first Fallon House show of the year with "Noises Off," praised as the "funniest comedy ever written" by the New York Post and often acclaimed as the comedy by which all other comedies are compared. The play opened Thursday in Columbia State Historic Park and will have a month-long run.
The play, based on the parody children's book by Jon Scieszka and Lane Smith, touches on subjects like bullying, honesty and sharing. It features music and lyrics by Robert Kauzlaric, Paul Gilvary and William Rush.
The Modesto Symphony Orchestra will push their artistic envelope with a special one-night-only Symphonic Tribute to David Bowie at 8 p.m. March 10 at The Gallo Center for the Arts in Modesto as part of the MSO's Hilmar Cheese Company Pops Series.
The Carnegie Arts Center is welcoming Central West Ballet Artistic Director René Daveluy and dancers from the upcoming production of "Coppelia" to discuss and showcase the integral relationship between storytelling and the art of dance.
