The Carnegie Arts Center's Sunday lecture series will be exploring the contribution of thousands of Chinese migrants in building America's first Transcontinental Railroad at 2 p.m. June 12 at the Carnegie Art Center.
The Carnegie Arts Center will once again host a children's art exhibition in Downtown Turlock this summer. Children in grades K-8 are invited to present their creative work to the public in the Carnegie's Ferrari Gallery, a museum-quality exhibition space.
The Turlock Sunshine Strummers Ukulele Group will perform Hank Williams songs and other similar favorites during the hour before the May 1 and May 15, 2 p.m. performances of Sierra Repertory's "Hank Williams: Lost Highway." The group of retired teachers, nurses and musicians plays on a regular basis at the Carnegie Arts Center in Turlock and various area nursing homes.
The San Joaquin Valley Swiss Echoes, a singing and yodeling club based in Ripon, will be having its annual spring concert and dance at 7:30 p.m. April 16, at the Swiss Hall in Ripon, on the corner of Manley and East Main Streets.
