The Oakland Raiders fell to the Denver Broncos at home on Sunday, giving some critics a chance to bring back their Silver and Black bashing. But the most important part of the game was the Raiders' ability to prevent Denver from scoring a touchdown.
The Turlock Express recently announced that well known Spanish side Sevilla Futbol Club will serve as the Express' opponent in its season opening exhibition game on Oct. 23 at the Turlock Indoor Soccer Arena in cooperation with the Ontario Fury, Inland Empire Sports & Entertainment and Tiguinho Soccer, the three promoters of the Sevilla FC USA Tour.
Turlock racer Chris Falkenberg may have built his car by the sweat of his brow in his parent's garage, but the work was well worth it when he took the victory in the Sport Modified Division at the Delta Valley Classic on Sunday.

Since competing in Super Bowl XXXVII in 2003, the Oakland Raiders have yet to reach the postseason. Last year the team started 0-10, but regrouped and finished the year strong, winning three of their final six games. The offseason has seen many changes, including the arrival of new head coach Jack Del Rio.

The championship rematch is on for Sunday - the United States vs Japan for the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. It's been a long road for our country's women who barreled through Colombia, edged China and upset the top seeded Germany, all for a chance at redemption against a Japan team that took the Women's Cup title in 2011.
Lewis Gonzalez came close on the scorecards in his UFC debut against Leandro Silva on Saturday, but 10 days notice proved to be too short a time frame to keep Silva from winning via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night 70.
Kyle Busch (#18 M&Ms Toyota) put an exclamation on his recovery from a horrific wreck at the start of the season by taking a dramatic victory in Sunday's 27th Annual Toyota/Save Mart 350 on the picturesque Sonoma Raceway road course.
