A 19-year-old Turlock man was sentenced to six years in prison on illegal firearm charges, according to the Stanislaus County District Attorney’s Office.
Freddy Figueroa Toscano was convicted on Nov. 2 of possession of an assault weapon for sale and possession of a loaded firearm by a gang
member.
On Aug. 18,  agents with the Central Valley Gang Impact Task Force conducted a search of Toscano’s residence on West Bradbury Road in Turlock. The search yielded several guns including an illegal SKS assault weapon, the district attorney’s office reported. During a subsequent traffic stop, Toscano was found to be in possession of a loaded .25 caliber handgun, the prosecution said.
Toscano pled no contest to the charges and was sentenced to six years in state prison by Stanislaus County Superior Court Judge John G. Whiteside.
