Sadie Fay Grissom, 93, of Atwater, died Nov. 1 at Anberry Rehab Center in Atwater. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 7 at Church of Christ in Atwater. Burial will be at Winton District Cemetery.
She was a nurse’s aid for 35 years and a member of the Church of Christ of Atwater. She enjoyed riding bikes, walking and loved to be with her family.
Sadie is survived by her sons, John L. Grissom of Placerville and Darrel Grissom of Atwater; daughters, Ovagean James of Greers Ferry, and Ark and Geneva Hannah of Wasilla, Alaska; brother, Windell Pressley of Yerington, Nev.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 11 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton Grissom on April 21, 1993.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Service of Turlock.
