Mildred G. Vaz, 94, of Gustine, passed away Wednesday at San Luis Convalescent Hospital in Newman. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 9, followed by a rosary at 7 p.m., at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine. Internment to follow at Hills Ferry Cemetery in Newman.
Mrs. Vaz was a native and lifetime resident of Gustine. She was a homemaker for 75 years and a parishioner of the Shrine of Our Lady of Miracles in Gustine.
Mrs. Vaz is survived by her son, Frank Vaz, III of Gustine; daughter, Dolores Bowen of Twain Harte; sister, Louise Santos of Turlock; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Vaz.
