Teresa Cardoso, 80, of Modesto, died Monday at her residence in Modesto. Visitation will held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 8, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St. in Turlock. A mass is scheduled for noon on Tuesday, Nov. 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be held at Turlock Memorial Park.
Teresa was born Feb. 10, 1929, in Santo Antao, Topo, Sao Jorge, Azores. She was a homemaker for 61 years and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Turlock and Our Lady of Carmo.
She is survived by her sons, Manuel A. Cardoso of Merced, Larry C. Cardoso of Turlock, Jose A. Cardoso of Nampa, Idaho, Fernando C. Cardoso of Ceres, Tony C. Cardoso of Modesto and Tiberio Cardoso of Manteca; daughters, Maria Bernardette Silva of Half Moon Bay, Maria Madalena Cardoso of Long Beach, Maria Irene Luis of Nampa, Idaho, Lidia Iria Hess of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Amalia Balbina Cardoso Carvalho of Hilmar and Ernestina Maria Nunes of  Turlock; 27 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernesto Cardoso; daughters, Maria Balbina Cardoso and Regina Maria Cardoso; sons, Eduardo Horacio Cardoso and Flamino Cardoso; and granddaughter, Deliah Maria Cardoso.
Services under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel.
