Jesse Monismith was born in Carlisle, Pa. on Feb. 9, 1935. Jesse passed away peacefully in his sleep early on the morning of June 2.

He moved to California in 1954, after his term of three years in the Navy. Met his wife in 1955, and was married Dec. 14, 1956. He worked at Smith Chevrolet for 40 years. He enjoyed being outdoors, watching sporting events, and doing anything with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Rachel Monismith; daughters, Rachel Ann Gerske and Terry Snodgrass; son, Bruce Monismith; grandsons, Spencer and Tyler Snodgrass; granddaughters, Ashley and Crystal Monismith; and great granddaughters, Kylie and Jasmine.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, with chapel funeral services to begin at 11 a.m. at the Turlock Memorial Park and Funeral Home located at 425 N Soderquist Rd. Remembrances can be sent to Hospice of Emanuel.
