Clarence Cantua

Clarence Cantua, 87, was born March 15, 1924 in Gilroy and passed away June 2, 2011 in Los Banos.

He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was extremely proud of serving his country. Upon his military retirement, he worked for Intel in security at a crucial time for them when the first microprocessor was designed. After his retirement from the company, he moved to Los Banos to enjoy a peaceful life with his family. Clarence was a member of the Elks Club. He will be greatly missed by all those whose life he touched.

Clarence was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary F. Cantua. He is survived by Tammy Cantua Villasenor, Carl Cantua, Suzie Esparza and Diana Lynn Cantua; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

Visitation and Rosary will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 9 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 10 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Los Banos. Burial will follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Gustine.
