Duarte M. Nunes, 39, of Turlock, entered into rest June 28 in Turlock. He was born in 1971 in Crosal, Santo Antao, Topo, Sao Jorge, Azores.  He was a truck driver for the past 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Nunes of Turlock; son, Tristen Duarte Nunes of Turlock; daughters, Brooke Eden Nunes and Bailey Megan Nunes, both of Turlock; brothers,  Jose Horacio Nunes and Antonio Horacio Nunes, both of Topo, São Jorge, Azores; and sisters,  Maria Gilda Brasil of Turlock, Maria Arlete Marques of Topo, São Jorge, Azores and Maria Manuel Nunes of Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Noe and Maria Nunes.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, July 4 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel, 286 W. Main, Turlock. A combined Rosary and Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons Ave., Turlock. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist.
