Louise Marie Hamm Fisher

POSTED June 27, 2012 10:16 a.m.

Louise Marie Fisher went to be with the Lord on June 24, 2012. She was beloved by all who knew her.
Louise was born to Frank and Marie Hamm on November 9, 1926 in Paso Robles, CA. She was the third of five children and grew up on a farm. She rode horses, milked cows, canned and enjoyed country life.
She attended Templeton schools and Grace University in Omaha, Nebraska.
She met her husband to be, Edgar Fisher, at her brother Rudy's wedding. Louise and Ed were married on July 2, 1950 at Grace Bible Church in Atascadero, CA. They moved to Turlock in 1950 when Ed accepted a position as the Ag teacher at Hilmar High School. They had three sons-Robert, Richard, and Ronald.
Louise was a Charter Member of Monte Vista Chapel where she taught Sunday school for many years. Her open Bible was a familiar sight in her home and a symbol of her faith in the Lord. She had strength in all she did and worked hard to support and care for her family. She was a fabulous cook and homemaker. She loved her husband Ed and enjoyed every moment of their life together. She delighted in her three children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
She is survived by Ed, her husband of 61 years; two sons, Robert (Cindy) of Visalia, CA and Ronald (Debbie) of Denair, CA and daughter-in-law Lynette of Atascadero, CA; Grandchildren-David, Corey (Kristen), Linda (Jimmy), Carson (Melissa), Trevor, Amanda, and Natalie; Great-grandchildren-Eden, Elijah, Mattie, Cade, Gracie, and Mia; Brother Rudy Hamm (Virginia) of Paso Robles, CA and sister Florence McCarty of Ceres, CA.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Marie Hamm; Brother Lenny Hamm; Sister Elenor Smiley; and son Richard who was the Assistant Pastor of Atascadero Bible Church- the same church in which Louise and Ed were married.
A funeral service will be held at the Turlock Funeral Home 425 N. Soderquist Rd. Friday, June 29, 2012 at 1:00 pm. Burial will be at the Willow Creek Mennonite Cemetery in Paso Robles the following day, Saturday June 30, 2012 at 11:00 am.
