Stevie Ray Ruth was born on Aug. 22, 1932 in Dallas, Texas to Steve and Juanita Ruth. Ray passed away at his daughter’s home in Medford, Ore. on July 11, 2012, after a long battle with cancer.

Ray was a Korean War veteran and a mail carrier for 26 years at the Delhi, Calif. Post Office.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents Steve and Juanita Ruth; grandparents, Ray and Ora Hunter; son, Antonio Ray Ruth; brother, James Alton Ruth; sister, Frances Sullivan and her husband, Jess.

He leaves behind daughters, Susan Ruth and Sharon Ruth of Medford, Ore.; son, Steve Ruth, also of Medford; brothers, Michael Ruth (Barbara) of Riverside, Calif. and Bob Ruth of Mesa, Ariz.; sister, June Hannah (Bob) of Atwater; grandson, Joseph Ruth and granddaughter, Antonia Ruth of Medford; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is pending.
