Specialist Benjamin C. Pleitez, 25, of Turlock, passed away Friday in Mazar E Sharif, Afghanistan.

Spc Pleitez was a resident of Turlock. Spc Pleitez served in the United States Army as a medic and was stationed in Afghanistan.

Spc Pleitez is survived by his parents, Salvador & Diana Pleitez of Empire; brothers, Jon Pleitez of Newman and Evan Pleitez of Portland, Ore.; and grandparents, Dennis & Sharon Brown of St. Helena.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 8th at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Turlock. Interment with Military Honors to follow at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine.

Services conducted by Hillview Funeral Chapel, Patterson.
