Louise Tornell, 87, of Turlock, died Saturday morning at her residence after a long illness.

She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Henry and Beatrice Young.  She came to California in 1945, and lived in San Francisco and the Bay Area for many years before settling in Turlock in 1980.

Mrs. Tornell worked as legal secretary for a time, as well as a homemaker. She was an honorary member of the Turlock Exchange Club.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Tornell; and she is survived by her children, Tom (Judith) Tornell and Jennie (Jim) Ringelman, her sister, Carolyn (Jack) Fix, and her grandson, Kevin (Emily) Ringelman.

A memorial luncheon will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 11th at Turlock Funeral Home’s Reception Hall, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. in Turlock.  Burial will be private at Turlock Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the charity of the donor’s choice.
