John Russell Spaulding passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2012 at his home in Whitehall, Montana.

He was born June 7, 1950 in Fresno, California and raised in Turlock, California. He married Jo Ann on October 20, 1968 and together they had three children, Jody, Jarrod, and Janel. He worked with his father to build a commercial refrigeration business, as well as farming an almond orchard. Upon retirement in 1999, John and Jo Ann moved to Whitehall, Montana . He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the great outdoors, and his seven grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Jo Ann of 44 years, sister Nancy (Jay) Honeyfield, sister Jean Holt, daughter Jody (Bryce) Johns, son Jarrod (Dana) Spaulding, daughter Janel (Jose) Martinez, grandchildren Caledonia, Kelsey, Alastair, Ella, Russell, Atha, and Amelia, and his beloved dog Brodie and several nieces and nephews.  

He will be missed and loved by all who knew him. No funeral service will be held, only private family viewing. Burial will be in Turlock, California.
