Ken Shook, 85, of Turlock, passed away at Turlock Nursing & Rehabilitation Center after a long illness. Mr. Shook was born in Hanford, CA to Charles L. and Edna L. (Billingsley) Shook. His father was a minister and the family moved around. Ken went to work at Mare Island while he was in high school. He graduated from Vallejo High School and UCSF School of Pharmacology with a Bachelor of Science in 1951. He married Marjorie Boysen in 1954. They owned Dolores Pharmacy in Carmel by the Sea for 20 years before moving to Turlock and opening the Medicine Shoppe for 15 years. Ken was a brilliant man and a tireless worker. He was greatly loved and will be sorely missed.
Ken is survived by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Shook, three daughters: Carrie (Paul) Masek of Lake Bluff, IL, Laura L. Shook (Keith Fellers) of Wichita, KS, and Linda L. (Merlyn) Halvorson of Monterey, CA, 4 grandchildren, and a sister Carolyn Corey of Berkeley, CA.
