Helen George, age 100, of Turlock passed away on Sunday, January 6, 2013 at Paramount Court in Turlock.  She was born November 21, 1912 to Serafin and Lena Azevedo in Sacramento, California.  She moved to Stevenson, California in 1925.  She married John F. George in 1931.  She settled in Turlock in 1935 and belonged to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Turlock and S.P.R.S.I #130.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, she also had a passion for sewing and crocheting.
She is survived by her children, John J. (Bernice) George of Turlock, Edward (Pat) George of LaGrange, and Rosalie (Tony) Macedo of Waterford, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Carmeana Tusup of Turlock. She is preceded in death by her Husband John F. George in 2004, sister Marie Jorge of Turlock, and four brothers Serafin Azevedo, Curt Azevedo, Joe Azevedo, and Manuel Azevedo.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at 4:00 PM with the recitation of the Rosary to follow at 7:00 PM both at Allen Mortuary.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow in Turlock Memorial Park.
