Ronald S. Pelsinger, a proud San Francisco native, age 80, passed away peacefully at home in San Francisco on January 5, 2013.
Ron was the only child of Samuel and Agnes Lundell Pelsinger. An Army veteran, Ron graduated from Washington High School and received a BA and MA from the University of California at Berkeley. He was a long time English teacher at San Francisco City College and previously taught English at San Jose City College, Robert College in Istanbul, Turkey, and Vienna, Austria.
Ron was an avid reader, book collector, and world traveler. He is survived by William Carmichael, his partner of 43 years, as well as a large extended family in Central California, all of whom will miss Ron very much.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary in Turlock, CA. He will be buried next to his parents at Turlock Memorial Park.
Donations in his memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
