Darlene Edna Crafts ~ 85 of Merced passed away at Emanuel Medical Center on Saturday.  Darlene was born in Nebraska to Ernest and Edna Edwards and has lived in Merced for nearly 60 years.  Darlene and her late husband Fire Captain John Leonard Crafts ~ aka (Jack) were dedicated to their community.  Jack worked for the Merced Fire Dept. for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1981; Darlene was a dedicated employee of the Merced School District, employed for over 35 years, retiring in 1989.
This loving mother and grandmother is survived by her children James Crafts, Tim Crafts and Cheryl Kensley; and seven grandchildren. She is preceded in death by both her mother and father, her husband and one grandson.
Allen Mortuary is entrusted with the arrangements. Her funeral service was on Friday, Feb 15th at 1:00pm at the United Methodist Church 899 Yosemite Pkwy, Merced, with a celebration of life following.  The graveside service will be on Tuesday, Feb 19th at 12:00pm at Turlock Memorial Park.  Please share your memories at www.allenmortuary.com
