Sushan Yegor, 82, of Turlock, passed away at Alexander Cohen Hospice House. Sushan was born in Gavellon, Iran to Eromya and Mary Yedager. She grew up on a farm where they grew grapes and almonds. The family also had a restaurant. At the age of 17 she married her life partner, Petros Yegor, and they had 4 children. In 1969 they moved to America and settled in Turlock. Her husband retired and Sushan worked as a line worker for Tri-Valley Growers for 30 years. She was a member of St. Thomas Assyrian Chaldean Catholic Church and the Assyrian-American Civic Club. Sushan is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Petros in 1997, and 4 siblings. She is survived by her 4 children: Alina (Alen) George of Modesto, Nancy Keffer, Mimi Yegor, and Manuel Yegor, all of Turlock, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Allen Mortuary on Wed, Feb 20th from 4 to 6 pm. Funeral will be on Thursday, Feb 21st at 10am at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 2901 N Berkeley, Turlock. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Please leave memories and condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
