Donald Rex Rider was born on July 11, 1944 in San Rafael, California, and died on February 19, 2013 in Stockton, California. He was the son of Robert Rex Rider and Ethelene Marie Casey-Rider. Don leaves behind three sisters, Janice Maliepaard, of Turlock, Dona Reynolds, of Modesto, and Cindy Miller, of Pacific Grove. He was married and has two children, Raymie and Rod Rider, both of Modesto. Don also leaves behind 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He remarried later and leaves behind a family in Stockton.
Don worked for Rainbo Bread Co. for 36 years before retiring.
The funeral service will be held today at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., at 11:00 a.m., followed by an interment in Turlock Memorial Park.
