Kathleen Blevins Trujillo

June 18, 1954 – February 22, 2013

Kathleen Blevins Trujillo

POSTED February 28, 2013 1:37 p.m.

She didn’t go down without a fight, but lost a 2 year battle to cancer. She passed away at home with her caregiver husband by her side.
Kathy was born in Bakersfield, CA and was raised and resided in Turlock most of her life.  A complete and thoughtful person, she was a strong willed woman, when she set her mind to something it was going to get done come hell or high water.  She loved sports (go Giants and 49ers), dancing, cooking, gardening, and going on new adventures, which were many.  Kathy was always a joy to be around unless you crossed her, then “watch out” man your battle stations because Kathy’s coming after you.
Kathy was a very hard worker.  She worked multiple jobs as a hair dresser and a bookkeeper in the Turlock area.  She worked for Youngdales for many years before it closed and was working for B.J.’s Consumer Pest Control before the cancer struck.  A special thank-you to all the people at B.J.’s for all the help they gave us.  Thank you to all the friends across the country and neighbors for their support.
Survived by her very loving family; Husband, Eric Trujillo Sr.; Daughter Christine (Rodney) Avila; Son Larry (Sandra) Miller; Stepdaughters Miranda Witt (Ryan Griffin) and Rebecca Trujillo; Stepsons Eric Trujillo Jr. and Nathan Trujillo; Mother Eleanor Reiswig; Sisters Glenda Osteen and Christine Blevins; Brother Larry (Liz) Blevins; Grandchildren Chad Avila, Bradley (Keeley) Avila, Wyatt Miller, Ryan Witt and Lilly Griffin; special Niece Aimee (Joe) Torres, and special friend Sonia Caldeira.  She was preceded in death by her Dad Glen Blevins, Brothers Kenny Blevins, and Dennis Blevins.
A memorial service will be held in her honor at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd. Turlock, on Thursday, February 28th at 2:00pm.  There will be a reception to follow.  In lieu of flowers please make your donation to Community Hospice 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
A special thank you to all the staff, especially Crystal Crafts, RN at Community Hospice for all the excellent care they gave her.
